Notice on the 2024 Doctoral Re-examination for the College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Peking University (Human Geography (Architecture and Landscape Design Specialization))
The 2024 doctoral re-examination for Human Geography (Architecture and Landscape Design Specialization) at Peking University is expected to be conducted via in-person interviews. The specific interview schedule is tentatively set for mid-March 2024, subject to final notification from the re-examination secretary.
Applicants must ensure the authenticity and accuracy of all submitted application materials. Candidates who fail to meet admission requirements will not be admitted, and all consequences shall be borne by the applicant. Materials to be verified during the interview include: original valid identification, highest academic degree certificate and diploma (or student ID), and original English proficiency certification.
Specific re-examination arrangements are as follows:
The re-examination consists of a comprehensive interview, including a self-introduction (PPT) and open Q&A. It assesses candidates' disciplinary background, professional knowledge, research capabilities and academic potential, innovation and teamwork skills, logical thinking and communication abilities, and spoken English proficiency.
Candidates must present a report to the interview panel covering their research experience and achievements, understanding of their intended research field, and proposed research plans.
Each applicant's presentation shall not exceed 15 minutes, with the total interview duration being no less than 30 minutes.
2) Final Interview Score Calculation
Interviews are scored on a 100-point scale. Following the interview, panel members will assign scores on the spot. The applicant's final interview score is the average of these scores, with a passing threshold of 60 points. Admission decisions will be made based on merit, ranking applicants by score.
