2025 Doctoral Re-examination Notice, College of Architecture and Landscape, Peking University
The re-examination for the 2025 doctoral candidate admissions at College of Architecture and Landscape ,Peking University will soon commence. Candidates who have advanced to the re-examination stage are required to participate in accordance with the following regulations.
I. Qualification Review
Candidates proceeding to the re-examination must prepare the following qualification review materials:
1. Original valid identification document;
2. Original graduation certificate and degree certificate of the highest academic qualification (current master's degree candidates must provide original student ID; holders of overseas degree certificates must also provide the original authentication report issued by the China Education Certification Center);
3. Original English proficiency certificate (applicants submitting CET-6, IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, or similar certificates must complete online verification via the official website).
Candidates must ensure the authenticity and accuracy of all submitted materials. Those failing to meet admission requirements will be disqualified, with all consequences borne solely by the candidate.
II. Re-examination Arrangements
Re-examination Time: Commencing at 1:30 PM on December 27, 2024.
Re-examination Location: College of Architecture and Landscape, Peking University, Room 501
All re-examination candidates must arrive half an hour early for on-site identity verification and document review.
III. Re-examination Rules
The re-examination consists of a comprehensive interview, including a self-introduction (PPT) and open Q&A session. The interview will assess candidates' disciplinary background, professional knowledge, research capabilities and academic potential, innovation and teamwork skills, logical thinking and communication abilities, and oral English proficiency.
Candidates are required to present a report to the interview panel. The report should cover:
- Personal research experience and achievements
- Understanding of the proposed research field
- Research plans for the intended project
Each candidate's presentation should not exceed 15 minutes. The total interview duration will be no less than 30 minutes.
Interview scores are graded on a 100-point scale, with 60 points required to pass. Panel members score independently; the average score across all panel members constitutes the final interview score. The interview score accounts for 100% of the re-examination total score, which determines admission ranking. Applicants failing the interview (scoring below 60 points) will not be admitted.
