Embarking on a Journey to Heal the Earth—The College's 2024 Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party Successfully Held

On September 20, 2024, our College held the “2024 Opening Ceremony and Welcome Event of the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Peking University” at Huaiyin Plaza. Faculty members, alumni, representatives of returning students, and the Class of 2024 gathered at Huaiyin Square as the ceremony commenced amidst the students' laughter. Special guests who have provided strong support for the School's development—including former Peking University President Lin Jianhua, Chairman of Run Dili Group Wang Heping, and Chairman of Western Holding Group Li Xiping—were invited to witness this momentous occasion. Centered on the theme “Ecological Civilization and Beautiful China—Embarking on a Journey to Heal the Earth,” the event comprised three segments: a warm-up performance, the opening ceremony, and the welcome gala.

Organized by the Graduate Student Union, the successful commencement and welcome gala not only immersed new students in the warmth and care of the academic community but also filled them with anticipation and confidence for their academic journey ahead. It is believed that in the days to come, they will flourish and shine on the fertile ground of Peking University's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, growing into outstanding architects and landscape designers who will contribute their talents to building a Beautiful China and advancing global sustainable development.
