Our College Organized Peking University's “Walking through Mi Du, Hearts Tied to Xinjie Middle School” Joint Student Social Practice Activity
Streams flow gently, flowers bloom in Midu. Before the 2025 Spring Festival, the “Walking through Mi Du, Hearts Tied to Xinjie Middle School” rural campus practice activity for Peking University students, organized by our school, was successfully held from January 15 to 17. During the event, six volunteer students from various Peking University schools and clubs collaborated with teachers and students at Xinjie Town Junior High School to conduct a series of enriching campus activities. These included campus biodiversity observation, local floral art workshops, bamboo weaving intangible cultural heritage workshops, participatory campus space design workshops, and learning experience sharing sessions. These activities not only broadened the horizons of local students but also sparked their curiosity about the natural environment around them and their hometown culture. Simultaneously, Peking University volunteers gained deeper insights into Midu's local customs and traditions, forging profound friendships with teachers and students at Xinjie Middle School.
