A New Chapter for Peking University: Moving Forward with the Times – The School's 2025 Opening Ceremony Successfully Held

In September, Yan Yuan campus basks in the sunlight, its locust leaves glistening, while a refreshing breeze sweeps through. On the afternoon of  September 1, 2025, under the locust trees of Yan Yuan, Professor Yu Kongjian, Dean of the School, addressed the freshmen under the theme ‘Carrying Forward the Yan Yuan Ideal: Reimagining Our Beautiful Landscapes’. He traced the spiritual lineage of Yan Yuan and envisioned the vast potential for architecture and landscape design to enhance the beauty of our mountains and rivers.

On the evening of September 19, 2025, the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at Peking University solemnly convened its 2025 Opening Ceremony in the first-floor lecture theater. Faculty members, student representatives, and all incoming students gathered to witness this significant occasion, marking the splendid commencement of the new academic year.
