Cooperation Background
To better promote local socio-economic development and guide students in contributing to traditional cultural preservation, comprehensive construction of beautiful villages and towns, and the building of a moderately prosperous society through social practice, while serving the national ‘Hundred Universities Partnering with Hundred Counties to Revitalize Thousand Villages’ initiative, both parties establish a strategic relationship of mutual service and win-win cooperation based on the principles of university-local collaboration and shared development.
Cooperation Content
Establishment of Social Practice Bases. Peking University designates Lingchuan County as a student social practice base, conferring the title ‘Lingchuan County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region University-Local Cooperation Practice Base.’ It organizes students to conduct social surveys, practical teaching, theoretical research, graduation internships, volunteer services, and international exchanges. Lingchuan County actively creates conditions and provides necessary support for Peking University faculty and students to carry out teaching and social practice activities.
Think Tank Consultancy Services. Lingchuan County will commission Peking University to undertake consultancy services on strategic talent development planning, urban-rural planning, and other socio-economic advancement initiatives aligned with local talent needs. The University will mobilize expertise to actively participate in these projects.
Cadre Education and Training. In accordance with the requirements of the ‘Hundred Universities Partnering with Hundred Counties to Revitalize Thousand Villages’ initiative, Lingchuan County designates Peking University as its training base for government cadres. It commissions the university to conduct timely theoretical training and professional capacity-building for government officials, rural technical personnel, and management backbone. Experts are also invited to deliver specialised training courses or lectures tailored to practical work requirements.
Academic Exchange and Feedback. Based on social practice activities, both parties shall periodically organize seminars involving faculty, students, and local officials. Peking University shall promptly share relevant social practice outcomes with Lingchuan County.
Regularized Collaboration Mechanism. Both parties shall maintain regular information exchange, summarize and share experiences, deepen mutual understanding, and ensure the sustained advancement of strategic cooperation.

Responding to the national rural revitalisation strategy and implementing the ‘Hundred Universities Partnering with Hundred Counties to Revitalize Thousand Villages’ initiative, this collaboration leverages the professional strengths of Peking University's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. It establishes a tripartite university-local partnership model integrating teaching practice, think-tank services, and talent training to bolster local urban-rural planning and human resource development.
