2026 Doctoral Re-examination Notice, College of Architecture and Landscape, Peking University
The College of Architecture and Landscape, Peking University will soon commence its 2026 doctoral admissions re-examination. Candidates proceeding to the re-examination stage are required to participate in accordance with the following regulations.
I. Eligibility Verification
Candidates proceeding to the re-examination stage must prepare the following eligibility verification materials:
1. Original valid identity document;
2. Original graduation certificate and degree certificate of highest academic qualification (current master's candidates must present original student ID; holders of overseas degrees must concurrently provide original authentication report issued by the China Education Certification Centre);
3. Original English proficiency certificate (applicants submitting CET-6, IELTS, TOEFL, GRE or similar certificates must undergo online verification via official websites).
Applicants must guarantee the authenticity and accuracy of all submitted materials. Candidates failing to meet admission requirements will not be admitted, and shall bear full responsibility for any consequences arising therefrom.

All re-examination candidates must arrive half an hour early on the examination day for identity verification and document review.
III. Re-examination Procedures
The re-examination comprises a comprehensive interview, including an English proficiency assessment, self-introduction (PPT), and open Q&A. It evaluates candidates' disciplinary background, specialised knowledge, research capabilities and academic potential, innovative capacity and collaborative spirit, logical reasoning and communication skills, and spoken English proficiency.
Candidates must present a report to the interview panel covering their research experience and achievements, understanding of their proposed research field, and research plans.
Each applicant's presentation shall not exceed 15 minutes, with the total interview duration being no less than 30 minutes.
Interview marks are assessed on a 100-point scale, with 60 points constituting a pass. Panel members shall score independently; the average mark calculated from these individual scores shall constitute the final interview mark. The interview mark accounts for 100% of the re-examination total score, which determines admission ranking. Candidates failing to achieve a pass mark (i.e., below 60 points) will not be admitted.
