We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Kongjian Yu, a visionary leader whose pioneering work has shaped the global discourse on landscape architecture and sustainability. Through his dedication to advancing knowledge for ecological resilience and harmonious urban living, he has left an enduring legacy that will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.

We truly appreciate the contribution and key note section delivered by Professor when Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) on organising International Federation of Landscape Architects IFLA World Landscape Architects Summit 2020. The landscape design philosophy of Professor about sponge city and nature based solutions have great fully inspired the landscape architects from Malaysia and around the world.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and all who have been touched by his wisdom and contributions.

I wish to extend the deepest condolences to the family, colleague and the entire members of Peking University.

我们对俞教授在马来西亚景观建筑师协会（ILAM）主办的2020年国际景观建筑师联合会（IFLA）世界景观建筑师峰会期间所作的专题演讲和贡献深表感谢。俞教授关于“海绵城市”及“基于自然的解决方案”的景观设计理念深深启发了来自马来西亚及世界各地的景观建筑师。
