The loss of Kongjian Yu touches deeply in our IFLA world Family. He inspired us for his human kindness and generosity. He is truly an icon among landscape students and professionals worldwide. Always present at the IFLA congresses, gentle and humble to share and contribute in working groups and social gatherings. His lectures were so inspiring that made us love more what we do with joy. Great man with an incredible vision.

We have him in our hearts. We will continue honoring his legacy and teachings. For all of us who have the privilege of knowing him, despite for how long, we will remember him with gratitude.

May he rest in peace and our deepest condolences to his wife, family, and colleagues.
