I'm still in shock at this enormous loss. As Charles rigthtly said, the world has indeed become poorer. All of us who had the privilege of knowing Professor Yu, even only for a short time, were lefft richer as a person.

He was a Professor in every sense of the word, both his profissional excellence and his personal kindness. An extraordinary human being, whose legacy will continue to guide and inspire us
