It is with deep sorrow that I honor the memory of Dr. Kongjian Yu. I first met him in Rio de Janeiro in 2009, and throughout the years our paths crossed, each encounter leaving a profound mark on me. His visionary work on Sponge Cities is not only essential in the teaching of my classes at UNAM, but a legacy that will guide generations. His passing is a great loss to humanity, yet his powerful vision as a global leader for planetary regeneration will forever inspire us. The photos are from a visit to Mexico City on November 2019.
