About three years ago I came across your work on sponge cities. I watched your talks and read your studies with great admiration. Today, as I am pursuing my master’s degree in China, I wanted to reach out to you for guidance but sadly learned that you have passed away.

I just want to say that even from far away in Turkiye, you had a student who deeply respected and followed your knowledge and the ideas you shared with the world.
