it is with sorrow that APAP received news of the passing of Kongjian Yu (1963-2025) in a planecrash in the Pantanal of Brazil.

Kongjian Yu, founder of the Turenscape studio, became famous for his concept of the SpongeCity. A reference in landscape architecture, Kongjian Yu will not be forgotten for his vision ofintegration of the water cycle into the sustainability of cities.

The APAP Board of Directors sends condolences to Kongjian Yu's family, friends and colleagues.
